2023 Micronesian Teachers Education Conference Invitation
As endorsed by the FSM Association of Chief State School Officers (FACSSO) and the FSM Department of Education, the 2023 Micronesian Teachers Education Conference (MTEC) Planning Committee is delighted to invite you to this year’s MTEC which will be held on July 04 -07, 2023 in Kosrae, Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).
Having had the annual Conference postponed for four years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kosrae Department of Education is pleased to finally host the Micronesian Teachers Education Conference.
The 2023 Micronesian Teachers Education Conference Theme is ‘Connecting Indigenous Knowledge Across Academic Disciplines’.
The 2023 MTEC will serve as a setting for networking, learning, and exchange between education leaders, professionals, champions, teachers, innovators, and partners in the FSM. The Conference will also receive some technical consultants from outside the FSM partnering in national/ state education systemic improvement initiatives in our nation to provide further professional learning support. The Conference program will be graced with remarks by esteemed Speakers and also accommodate the facilitation of workshops, presentations, and exhibits promoting this year’s MTEC theme.
Conference Host/ Planning Committee
The Planning Committee wishes to make the 2023 MTEC in Kosrae a satisfying and memorable experience. We look forward to making this not only a productive conferencing event, but also an opportunity for participants to unwind, socialize, and enjoy what the Island of the Sleeping Lady has to offer before returning to our places of work.
In addition to the conference meeting and social events, off-island participants may arrange for local tours, hikes, and dives to indulge in Kosrae’s beautiful natural scenery and environment. Tour activities may be arranged for through the Planning Committee or directly with the Kosrae Visitors Bureau via www.visitkosrae.com or through the Kosrae Island Tourism page on Facebook.

Conference Registration
Registration for the 2023 MTEC is now open and will be accepted until June 15th, 2023. All interested individuals or organizations are requested to complete and submit the online registration via the following link.

Registration Fees are as follows:
a) Local Attendee – $100
b) Off-island Attendee – $125
Registration Fees will be collected on-site during the Conference Registration & Opening.
Call for Presentations
The ‘Call for Presentations’ is now out and soliciting workshop/ presentation proposals supporting the 2023 MTEC Theme – ‘Connecting Indigenous Knowledge Across Academic Disciplines’.
Presentation proposals must be submitted online via the following ‘Call for Presentations’ registration link.

Selected presentations will be announced on June 12, 2023. Presenters will be notified directly.
Call for Exhibitors
Local and off-island organizations or businesses are also welcome to display or promote their products & services at the Conference.
